「noun／plain form ＋ なりに」 means “doing something in a way (or to a degree) that fits that person/position itself” — not perfect, but giving it one's best within those conditions or abilities. E.g. 「完璧ではないが、彼なりに頑張った」 (it wasn't perfect, but he tried hard in his own way), 「私なりに努力した」 (I made an effort in my own way). To modify a noun, use 「なりの」 (子供なりの考え = a child has a child's own ideas).
